How Long Does it Take To Install New Windows?

Installation time will be entirely dependent on factors related to the site such as ease of access. Usually, two of our fitters can fit 4-6 windows per day.

Do You Fit Your Own Windows & Doors?

Yes. Maghull Double Glazing have a specialist team of window fitters who have decades of industry experience.

Are You Insured?

Yes. Maghull Double Glazing have full insurance to protect the safety of our workers and staff. You will be provided with a full copy of our insurance upon your booking. It is also best practice to check your home insurance before getting any work undertaken on your home.

Do I Have to Leave My Home While You Fit?

No. You will not have to leave your home while we install. If you would like to leave your home while we work that is also completely fine with us.

How Should I Prepare My Home for Installation?

There is very little for you to do preparation wise. All that is required is that there is no furniture or debris in front of the windows obstructing our access.

Do You Have a Showroom I Can Visit?

Yes, we do! You can visit our factory showroom 6 days a week.

Will You Dispose of The Old Windows?

Yes. Our team of fitters will take your old windows away once the new ones have been installed. They will be disposed of them in a sustainable manner with all parts being recycled that can be.

All our windows are designed and tested to be child safe by some of the UK’s leading suppliers.  

Are Your Windows & Doors Energy Efficient?

All windows and doors sold by Maghull Double Glazing are very energy efficient with most of our windows exceeding an A+ rating. You will be given a full breakdown of the energy efficiency of your product prior to purchase.

Are Your Windows Easy to Clean?

Yes, all our windows are very easy to maintain and clean.

Do I Need Planning Permission for New Windows & Doors?

No, you will not need planning permission for new windows and doors for your home. The only time you may need permission from authorities is if you live in a graded building.

How Soon Can You Do an Installation?

Maghull Double Glazing strive to work around our customers’ needs and schedules. When placing your order, we will work with you to give you an installation time slot that is best suited to you.

Can You Just Repair My Existing Windows?

Yes, we can. If your windows don’t need to be replaced and instead repaired, we will be more than happy to complete the repair for you.

What are composite doors made from?

Composite doors are made from glass reinforced polyester panels, UPVC frames, and a polyurethane foam core. These materials make composite doors the most secure, durable and long lasting on the market.

What’s the difference between composite and wooden doors?

Composite doors are made from different materials than UPVC meaning they are much more resistant to weathering and will last longer. Composite doors will also keep their colours for much longer.

What’s the difference between UPVC and composite doors?

UPVC is used in the construction of composite doors however composite doors use better materials which prolong the life span of the door. Composite doors are also much more durable than UPVC doors.

How much maintenance is needed?

Composite doors are very low maintenance. They will require an occasional clean with a soft cloth and warm soapy water.

What are the cheapest doors?

Composite doors are foil wrapped so it is not recommended to paint over them.

Yes, DIY installations are possible if you have experience in fitting doors. We do not however recommend fitting a composite door yourself as any mistakes could lead to more bills remedying any mistakes down the line.
